Service Menu

CAVAL is a unique entity that doesn't fit the usual categories of a vendor, a library, or a professional association, so for better understanding, we have created a list of our present range of services and programs that cater to our membership and the wider community. We have also included case studies showcasing successful collaborations with other organizations. These examples demonstrate how working together towards a common goal can have a positive impact on the community.

Download the service menu with case studies here.

Strategy 2023+

The strategic plan sets out our direction from 2023 and aligns our mission, programs, capacity, and values. Our members and community are at the core of the CAVAL Strategic Plan 2023+

With essential input from the board, management, key member stakeholders and, importantly, the staff, this plan is committed to understanding and addressing the wider community’s needs, working as partners, and optimising its value.

A more detailed version can be downloaded in pdf format (1.08MB) here. If you would like to be mailed a printed copy of the plan, please email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

FOLIO + ReShare

Open. Collective. Intelligent Collections.

CAVAL is the first in Australia to be implementing FOLIO (supported by IndexData) as we see this modern, open-source Library Management Platform benefiting and empowering the entire library community.

In the next phase we are also looking at offering a new vendor-neutral resource-sharing platform, ReShare, to our members and the wider community.
