CAVAL is closed for onsite work starting COB, 5 Aug 2020 with remote service delivery arrangements in place

Following the stage 4 restrictions from Thursday, 6 Aug 2020 onwards, our staff will not be in attendance at any of our offices for the period of 6 weeks or until further Victorian Government directions. Since each of our Services is unique and caters to varied customers, we believe there can be no one size fits all approach. The following arrangements have, therefore, been made.

In response to Tuesday’s Victorian Government announcement regarding the return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions for all Melbourne metropolitan areas, CAVAL is quick to once again adapt to the changes to navigate the situation while staying operational. Despite all this change our staff and our members have remained our first priority and we are keeping your needs in mind as we navigate the situation. As a result, we’ve made a couple of changes that hopefully make things easier for all of us. Read the latest update on our people, members, services and board.

We would like to acknowledge the significant impact the coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on communities and individuals across the world. Our thoughts go out to those who have been directly impacted by this crisis.

At CAVAL, we are taking the advice of the Australian and State Governments on the appropriate steps to manage our workforce through this period. Our efficient use of secure cloud-based technology is allowing most of our staff to work remotely. We have also limited the number of staff at all our locations through distributed work schedules. Our business continuity plan is updated and we are maintaining a high level of communication with our staff to ensure they are well informed and safe.

Having said that, we are constantly reviewing our position based on government advice and will advise you if there is a likely impact on our current set up.

Interest group events, Mentoring programs and meetings:

We are still going ahead with all of our Interest Group events, Mentoring Programs and meetings. It’s now more than ever that we feel it is vital to keep our connections and to stay in contact with peers.  All of our events and meetings for the foreseeable future will move to an online space this is to help ensure that our staff and your staff remain connected and reduce the effects of social isolation.

We are putting together a resource pack to help you with remote work technologies – so keep an eye out for that.
