Papers now available
A significant new conference proudly presented by the CAVAL Human Resources Group with the support of Emerald Publishing and the Australian Library and Information Association.
Victoria University, Flinders Street, Melbourne, Australia
Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October 2009.
The inaugural People in the Information Profession conference is expected to attract up to 150 information professionals from all library sectors across Australia, New Zealand and overseas.
A variety of registration options are available, including discounts for CAVAL and ALIA members.

Conference Fees
Registration fees are in Australian dollars and include Australian GST.

The conference will broadly address the theme of reinvigorating the library and information profession and include three streams:

Networking
The conference dinner will be held at the Melbourne Aquarium on Thursday 15 October – the dinner is included in the conference registration and additional tickets are available for purchase.
Emerald Publishing will be hosting a breakfast for all conference attendees on Friday 16 October – details to be announced soon.
Program
The Conference Committee issued an international call for papers intended to educate and inspire across the four themes. Selection of papers has been by a peer review process. Selected papers will be published by Emerald in Library Management (ISSN: 0143-5124).
