CAVAL staff have expertise in all aspects of Interlibrary Loans and Document Delivery Services. Types of services we can provide include:

  • implementation and management of a complete ILL & DDS service for your library
  • advice on the selection and implementation of an automated ILL/DDS system
  • relevant training for your staff.

Virtual Document eXchange(VDX)

VDX is a comprehensive automated ILL (interlibrary loans) and document delivery management software developed and supported by OCLC.

CAVAL manages VDX Systems for a number of libraries, some of whom share a system (the CLIC Consortium).   CAVAL provides system management, software configuration, operational support and training to the VDX customers for their implementation and operation of VDX.
