Interlibrary Loans for CARM Members Libraries

CARM Member Libraries


Items cannot be directly borrowed from the CARM Centre. Requests to use items must be made through your library.

Requests from CARM member libraries will receive priority over requests from non-member libraries.

If an item is unavailable or not held at the CARM Centre, CARM member libraries will be notified within 24 hours.

Books must be returned to the CARM Centre using a courier service that tracks items, Express Post or by Registered Mail.


Service Level: Premium (Applies only to copies)


Turnaround time:
2 hours

Cost: $13.20 (incl. GST)

Description: Material needed immediately. CARM dispatches copy via Ariel or email, or indicates that it cannot supply item within two hours from receipt of the request.


Service Level: Standard


Turnaround time: 24 hours

Cost: No charge

LOANS


All loans are sent using a courier service that tracks items, Express Post or by Registered Mail

  • Requests received AM:
    Requests received AM, will be shipped PM via Express Post for next day delivery, or collected by courier service that tracks items for next day delivery.
  • Requests received after 2pm:
    Requests received after 2pm will be shipped same day by Express Post if possible for next business day delivery.

If unable to ship item/s same day

  • Metro Suburbs:
    Item/s will be collected AM next day by courier service that tracks items for PM delivery.
  • Country Victoria or Interstate:
    Item/s will be shipped AM next day by Express Post for next business day delivery.


COPIES

Copies will be sent via Ariel or email within 24 hours of receipt of request.

Copies sent by CARM Interlibrary Loans include a cover sheet with the Copyright Declaration. The CARM Interlibrary Loans department adheres to section 50 of the Australian copyright act.
